Shopping at brick-and-mortar stores doesn't have to mean you spend more for the privilege of instant gratification. There are plenty of mobile apps that can help you make sure you're getting the best bargain by shopping locally, and if you're not, they can tell you where you can buy the same item online for less, or even if there are other stores in your area with better prices. Last week we asked you which apps you used to compare prices on your smartphone. You responded, and we took a look at the top five apps. Now we're back to highlight the winner.
In a pretty close vote, Amazon Price Check came out on top with 32% of the vote. In a close second with 25% was Google Shopper, and in third place was RedLaser with 23% of the votes cast. In fourth place with just over 13% of the vote was ShopSavvy, and bringing up the rear was PriceGrabber, with 7% of the votes cast.
