Heliocentris showcases cutting-edge German green technology at ...

Heliocentris stand (No. 8111 at the German Pavilion) at WEFS will showcase a live demo of its Genset Efficiency CO2 emission-reducing, turnkey energy management systems and monitoring solutions in its mobile base stations, which the company provides for leading telecoms in the MENA region like du (Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company).

Ayad Abul-Ella, CEO of Heliocentris AG, said, "The responsibility for the emerging markets need for energy should not be limited to governments efforts only. We rather see it as a collective responsibility of all stakeholders in the society. Sustainability conscious private sector companies can contribute to this cause reducing the carbon footprint by implementing energy efficiency and commercial grade zero emission solutions. To share our expertise in this field with leading information and communication companies as well as oil and gas entities and learn more about the capabilities of clean power technology for off-grid applications is why we are here."

Naji El Haddad, Show Director of WFES 2013, said: "The World Future Energy Summit has became a truly global event that enables policy creators and business decision makers to come together to find solutions to the world's energy challenges. We welcome Heliocentris participation in the event and sure that its expertise in green technology will enrich the scene."

Heliocentris Genset Efficiency solutions helped du to achieve significant strides in its efforts to go green. Those included reduction in fuel consumption by 1 Million litres and reduction in CO2 emissions by 2500 tonnes, from December 2011 to December 2012. With the continued implementation of those solutions, the telecom operator expects a saving in fuel consumption of 6.8 million litres and reduction in CO2 emissions by 17,000 tonnes by end of 2014.

It worth mentioning that Heliocentris contributions to a greener MENA included launching the first-of-its-kind 100% self-sufficient energy solutions site based purely on renewable energy sources in Kuwait, which was launched jointly with the National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC and the Kuwait Scientific Research Institute (KISR), before the end of 2012.

These projects are managed by the Heliocentris branch office located in Silicon Oasis, Dubai, which has started operations end of 2011 with local staff including Sales, Solution Engineering, Project Management and Software Support.

This underlines the importance of the Middle East Africa region as a growth driver and is at the same time a further sign of Heliocentris' strong commitment to this region.
