H. Firestone, 75, died Saturday of injuries from an automobile accident in East Hanover
Twp. that also took the life of his wife, the former Shirley A. Buchter.
Firestone was a star athlete at Lebanon High School and in the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.
He taught at Cornwall and Cedar Crest high schools. During his 28 years at Cedar Crest, he served as head coach for boys and girls basketball and tennis and also served as Athletic Director. In 1981, he was inducted into the Central Chapter of PA Sports Hall of Fame. He led the girls basketball team to the 1990-1991 District III AAAA championship and advanced to the Eastern semi-finals.
